Albert Speer was a German architect of Nazism. He was one of the key associates of Adolf Hitler during his rise to power. After the war, he was tried for war crimes and sentenced to twenty years in prison. However, he did not serve the full sentence due to poor health. He died only a few months after being released from prison, at age seventy-three.
